A ‘Little’ About Me:

A passionate promoter of Emotionally Intelligent Parenting (EIP), I am delighted to take you aboard an inspiring ride here with Ed2Raise. As a fellow parent raising a young child myself, I truly understand the mix of joys and challenges that come with raising children. Like you, I am working this path myself and before taking on this path, I devoted over 10 years of my life to teaching young children around the globe and working with their families.

About My Background:

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Early Years Teaching, a Master's Degree in Education, and a specialised credential in Instructional Design. My accredited educational and diverse professional background had set the stage for me to confidently embark upon my parenting journey, only for me to realise how little my ‘expertise’ benefitted my own child raising practices. I quickly learnt how challenging and frustrating it could be to ‘apply’ myself as a parent, even when I did it so well as an educator, for so many children and families, for so many years! It was this reality that struck a chord and now drives me to work with parents like me and parents like you, who have access to knowledge but are personally struggling with the application of this overflowing information.

About My Parenting Journey:

Being a hands-on mother to a vibrant 6-year-old has enlightened me with the many joys and challenges that come along with parenting. These experiences have refined my approach to child development. I developed a newfound appreciation for the real connection between theory and practice – ‘practise’ being the key word here. Information is everywhere now, application is where the gap lies, which I had to bridge for myself, as a parent, and I still am! I hope I can do the same for you!

About My Early Start:

Like you, I experience it all - from sleepless nights to heartwarming milestones. I distinctly remember a moment when my young daughter, just 3 years old then, checked-in on me after a tough day by saying, “Mama, are you feeling okay?” A 3-year-old intently observing and caring about my feelings, said much more about her, than me! It’s these little moments that highlight the incredible emotional bond that lays out a solid, life-long foundation in a parent-child relationship. Setting an authentic emotional tone, at an early age, is all it takes! I believe, every parent is capable of raising an emotionally intelligent child who could thrive in today's as well as tomorrow’s world.

About My Mission:

My mission is pretty clear: to deliver personalised insights, sustainable strategies, and a growth-oriented approach to parents as you strive to raise emotionally intelligent children. With a powerful combination of my expertise in psychology and early childhood education, along with my own parenting experiences, I intend to work towards an interactive medium of offering:

• Empowerment Through Education: My goal is to educate families about emotional intelligence and its positive effects on young, developing children. A well-informed parent is a well-empowered parent.

• Accessible Knowledge: From simple, short reads to engaging, reflective task books and interactive workshops: I aim to provide actionable insights that can be easily carried into the everyday routine of parenting. Knowledge without application is just entertainment.

• Community Support: Parenting can be isolating, yet you are never alone. I wish to build and connect a community of like-minded or even differently opining parents as they share in their experiences, successes, and challenges. The best ideas emerge when different perspectives meet.
